Fewer sick days. Less pain. A better team

We design health programmes for workforces the same way we treat a patient: first understand what is happening to that body in that job, then decide what to do. Subsidised training, team days and physiotherapy, led by a registered physiotherapist.

The starting point

What workplace wellbeing actually is

Workplace wellbeing is the state of health, energy and motivation a person brings to their job. It is not the Monday fruit basket or the December yoga class: it is the sum of how they move for eight hours, how they sleep, how they eat, how much tension they accumulate and how much they understand about their own body.

When that state deteriorates it does not send an email. It sends a sick note. That is why corporate wellbeing done properly is not an activity, it is a policy: planned, executed through the year and reviewed with data.

And there is one detail most providers miss: the leading cause of sick leave in Europe is not stress or a virus. It is musculoskeletal disorders — back, neck, shoulders, wrists. Which is precisely what a physiotherapist treats.

The real cost

Absenteeism is not an HR problem. It is a line in the P&L.

These figures are not our estimates. They come from the latest sector reports and you can check them.

7.68 % Absenteeism rate in Spain at the end of 2025: an all-time high. XV Adecco Report
1.6–1.7 M People not at their workstation on any given day. XV Adecco Report
10.9 h Working hours lost per employee per month, on average. XV Adecco Report
€17 bn Of the €33 bn total cost, the share borne by companies. CEOE

And the leading cause has a name: musculoskeletal disorders are the number one cause of sick leave in Europe (EU-OSHA). Exactly what we treat in clinic every day.

A single 30-day back pain absence costs a company more than the full annual programme.

Four ways to work with us

Services

They can be bought separately, but they work better chained together: training to understand, a team day to build cohesion, an annual plan to sustain it and clinic access for what already hurts.

01

Subsidised health training

Twelve sessions on physical health, mental health and nutrition, one to four hours, in person or online. If your company has training credit left, the net cost can be zero.

  • Delivered by a physiotherapist, not a salesperson
  • Content adapted to the job: office, plant, remote or manual handling
  • Individual attendance certificate
See the service (ES) →

02

Healthy team building

A team day that also looks after the team: movement, postural health and group work instead of an obstacle course that leaves half the workforce watching.

  • Half or full day
  • At your site, outdoors or at our clinics
  • Adapted to any fitness level
See the service (ES) →

03

Annual wellbeing plan

Twelve structured months instead of three isolated actions. Calendar, training, follow-up and an aggregated report aligned with your production year.

  • A closed calendar agreed in January
  • Baseline and closing indicators
  • Quarterly review with HR
See the service (ES) →

04

Physiotherapy for your staff

A clinic set up on your premises, or priority access at our three centres. Catch and treat it before it becomes a sick note.

  • Assessment of the most physically demanding roles
  • Agreed terms for partner companies
  • Aggregated, anonymous reporting
See the service (ES) →

Why SOMA

We are not a wellness company.

The corporate health market is full of reasonable options. None of them combines all three things.

Physiotherapy clinicsThey treat injuries well, but do not handle subsidised training or come into the workplace.
Subsidised training providersThey process the credit, but sell generic online courses with no healthcare professional behind them.
Team building companiesGood events, no clinical judgement: nobody looks at how the workforce actually moves.
Wellbeing consultanciesTrainers, coaches and motivational talks. Not registered healthcare professionals.
SOMA. PrevenciónA registered physiotherapist, subsidised training and physical clinics in Maresme and Barcelona. All three, from one provider.

How we run it

Four steps, no generic dossier.

01

20-minute call

You tell us how many you are, what kind of jobs you have and what is going wrong. No sales pitch.

02

Proposal and credit

We send the recommended training and format, with a calculation of what your training credit covers.

03

Delivery

On your premises or remotely, on the dates that disrupt production least.

04

Report and follow-up

An aggregated, anonymous report of what we found, and a plan for the following months.

Language note

The full corporate site is in Spanish and Catalan

Detailed pages for each service, the training catalogue, the guide to subsidised training, the wellbeing calendar and the blog are published in Spanish and Catalan — that is where our clients are.

Training itself can be delivered in Spanish or Catalan. If you need an English-language session for an international team, ask us: it can be arranged.

FAQ

What HR asks before signing

What does "subsidised training" mean?

Every year your company has a training credit, recovered through social security contributions. If the training meets FUNDAE requirements, its cost is offset that way. We prepare the paperwork and coordinate it with your payroll advisers.

How many attendees do you need?

We work with groups from 8 people. Above 25 we split the group: in postural health, if each person is not corrected individually, the session is worthless.

In person or online?

Both. The practical part — back, ergonomics, active breaks, manual handling — works far better in person. Theory, mental health and nutrition work just as well remotely.

Does this replace our occupational risk prevention service?

No, and it is not meant to. We deliver cross-cutting health and wellbeing training plus physiotherapy. Your prevention service has its own legal obligations: the two are complementary.

Can you see our employees in clinic?

Yes. We have three centres — Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, Premià de Dalt and Barcelona — with specific terms for partner companies.

Next step

Start by finding out what it is costing you

A 20-minute call. With your real figures we tell you what training credit you have available this year and what can be done with it.
